Easter...

We had lots of fun activities this Easter season!  This is my favorite holiday for many reasons - but most importantly that it is a time of the year to stop, reflect on, and remember the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Samford held an alumni Easter egg hunt that was really a lot of fun!  I love being back on that campus any time I have the opportunity.  I must admit, I'm a little jealous that my dad gets to be up there every day now.  Thankfully it is just down the road from where we live so I plan on making many more stops in the near future!

Our next activity was Valleydale's Easter Egg Hunt.  This was a blast last year so I was so excited to go back with the kids a year older and watch them have fun!  I truly do love our church and the community the Lord has blessed us with there.

With Graham being on a church staff, it makes doing a family lunch on Easter pretty difficult.  This year we decided to do a dinner the night before - it was perfect!

Every year, Dad hides eggs in their yard for the kids to find. It's always fun for the kids to find the surprises inside the eggs!

We spent a lot of time this year talking with Watson and Emma about what we are really celebrating on Easter.  I love seeing Watson truly starting to get it all!  We still have lots of explaining to do...he is currently convinced that every cross he sees is where Jesus died...

HAPPY EASTER!  HE IS RISEN!

March 2015...

This month has flown by!  Here's a recap in pictures...

Enjoying some lunch with the cousins...

Reading with Hampton :)

I sure do love being their aunt

Making cupcakes with Mana - she had plenty of help!

Sometimes you just need to play dress up and take a quick nap in the car...

My sweet friend, Kitty, is expecting her first baby in May - we had the honor of throwing her a baby shower.  It was such a special night!

Trip to Botanical Garden with the Pughs...trying to get all four to look at the camera was a lost cause!

Love this boy

Playing dress up has been a big theme in our house lately.  I love seeing Iron Man and this Princess play together :)

Graham and I made a day trip to Atlanta this month for a Passion brunch and to visit our friends, Brad and Brittany.  This is their son, Caleb...holding this sweet baby was good for my soul!

Cool dude

Right after taking this picture he said, "Mommy come into my office so we can solve the world's problems."  Love my little old soul!

Quick stop by the playground on the way home from preschool!

Our family went to the air show in Tuscaloosa this month.  We were able to see the Blue Angels perform - this was my second time to see them and I was just as amazed as the first time!!

We stopped by the Anderson's one night with a surprise ice cream treat - needless to say, this was a hit with the kids...

22 months...

How in the world are we only 2 months away from your second birthday?  I cannot believe it!!!

Emma, you are so funny - we seriously laugh all day, every day at the things you say and do!  You know you're funny too, and you use that to your advantage :)  All you have to do is throw this little mischievous grin up and your daddy is done!

You are as independent as they come.  When you want something, you are determined to get it by yourself.  Receiving help from Mommy or Daddy is your last resort.

Some days you are very particular about what you want to wear, and other days you let me put you in whatever I want.  Most days it is not a fight, but on the days that you have an opinion you are likely to end up wearing something like this...

Daddy and I pray often that the Lord will give us wisdom to know how to best parent you...how to foster your independence in the most healthy way so that you can use that quality to glorify the Lord for all of your days.

Emma, you are so sweet and joyful.  You have a special gift of making the people around you happy.  Your smile and your laugh are contagious - I have had many teachers at your preschool say they would vote Emma Hill for Homecoming Queen :)

You watch your brother SO closely.  If he wants something, you want it.  If he cries, you cry.  If he complains about something, you do the same.  I pray y'all are always this close - and I pray that Watson will always be a good example to you!

You LOVE shoes - you walk around the house in different shoes all day.  Yours, mine, Watson's, Daddy's...shoes are shoes and you love them!

You are talking a good bit these days!  You try to repeat everything and are asking lots of questions.  You say please ("peas") and thank you ("tank tou") consistently and correctly - I love seeing these good manners in you!

I truly could not love you more!!!

February...

We haven't been up to too much this month.  We are thankful to have Graham back home for an extended period of time, so we have just been spending lots of time together as a family.  We try to get outside as much as weather permits...it has been really cold, though!  Watson loves exploring in our yard, so he and Daddy do this often...

Watson is still making himself at home in our bed many nights a week.  This night we came in to go to bed and found him...with his pillow...already in our bed.  As much as I wanted to move him back to his bed, I couldn't bring myself to do it...I know these days won't last long!  (And Graham LOVES it when he sleeps with us, which I think is sweet!)

If you know me, you know I love crafts.  I always have a stash ready to pull out when we have friends over.  Here are all four kiddos doing a tissue paper craft...I wasn't sure how this one would go over, but they all really enjoyed it and did great with it!  Thank you Dollar Tree for a good hour of entertainment :)

These two - best friends!

I was in charge of Watson's class party for Valentines Day - it was so much fun!  His class is all boys this year, and they are the sweetest group of boys you will meet.  I love hearing Watson talk about his friends and what they do each day.

We celebrated Hampton's third birthday this month at Pump It Up.  The kids LOVED it!  Watson got stuck a few times, but Poppa always came to the rescue!

A rare, but glorious site :)

CHEEEEEEEESE!

Mexican and Ice Cream with the Andersons - love how close our kids are!

You know your husband is a police officer when...

As I was saying earlier...Watson is all into exploring our yard right now.  I love watching him be such a little boy - covered from head to toe in dirt, picking up sticks, running around - it brings me so much joy.  Watson is so timid that sometimes you have to encourage this, so when he does it on his own I think it is absolutely wonderful!

This stud muffin got glasses...I love the new look!

Check out these dance moves...oh my!
