At three months, our sweet girl is just as precious as ever! We could not be more in love with her!
Weight: We don't have an exact weight because our next appt isn't until 4 months, but I know she is at least 12 lbs
Height: Same as above
Size diaper: 1
Size clothes: 0-3 months, 3 months
Eating: Every three hours during the day, and wakes up 1-2 times at night to eat. When I pump she is taking about 4-5oz from a bottle
Sleeping: Sleeps pretty good, but still waking up a few times at night. Sometimes she wants to eat, but sometimes the paci will satisfy her. She always eats 1-2 though. She naps 3-4 times a day, with her morning nap being her best. She seems to sleep best in her carseat, thankfully, since I feel like we are always on the run! We have been trying to transition her from the rock n' play to her crib. We are also trying to transition her from her miracle blanket swaddle to a sleep sack because we realized part of what is waking her up is breaking out of the swaddle every night! We first transitioned her from the rock n' play to the bassinet but still had her in our room. Then on 7/21 she slept in her crib for the first time at night. She made it until about 4 am then I moved her to the rock n' play in our room after she ate. We did this for a few nights until she was more adjusted to her room and crib. The transition from swaddle to sleep sack was pretty tough. She loves being swaddled, but was breaking out of it in her sleep so it was definitely time to transition. We tried going cold turkey but it didn't work at first so we went back to the swaddle. Finally we just decided we were going to have a few long nights and she is now well adjusted to the sleep sack :)
She loves having her hands in her mouth all the time. At first I thought she was just hungry constantly, but then I realized she has just discovered her hands and loves to suck on them :)
She is so smiley and it melts my heart every single time!
I LOVE hearing her sweet coo's and the little noises that she makes while playing. There is truly nothing sweeter than those first noises!
She loves sleeping in her carseat, but if she is awake she only likes the carseat if it is moving in the car or stroller.
Starting to push up more and more while doing tummy time.
She is so very loved by all her family...especially Abby. I cannot wait to see a special friendship develop between the two of them.
She is very go with the flow, which is a great thing because we always seem to be on the go! When she gets upset, though, all of Birmingham knows. The girl has quite the set of lungs on her!!
We love our beautiful angel and are beyond blessed to have her in our family!

Happy Birthday Watson!
In honor of Watson's love for Larry, his second birthday party was a Veggie Tales theme. We had a blast celebrating our sweet boy with our family and some friends. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us :)
2 Years Old!
Two. Years. Old. Really?! It is so hard to believe that our baby boy is already TWO! Where did the time go?!!? I am so thankful for the blessing that Watson is and for the joy he brings to our family!
Here are a few things about Watson right now...
- Shy in public
- LOVES giving hugs and kisses, kisses, kisses
- We are working on his speech every day. We had a speech eval with Alabama Early Intervention to see if he qualified for speech therapy. He did not qualify, though, so although I was so proud of him, I was also hoping we could get him some help. We may still look in to some private therapy sessions. He is definitely talking, and we are hearing more from him every day, but his pronunciation is very lax, and he will ONLY talk at home. I am proud of how far he has come, though, and believe that he will be just fine and talking non-stop before we know it!
- Would rather play with doors, locks, light switches...anything he can manipulate with his hands...over any toy most of the time
- Loves trains, little cars and trucks...especially if they make noise or have little doors he can open and shut
- He loves mommy, but is all about some daddy these days!
- He is hit or miss when it comes to eating...sometimes he will eat whatever I put in front of him, but other times is incredibly picky and will live off of a cracker for the day
- Has a huge sweet tooth...definitely got this from his Daddy!
- OBSESSED *understatement* with Veggie Tales. "Laaarwy" (Larry) is what I hear all. day. long!
- Loves his little sister so much and is incredibly protective over her.
- All boy. He is rough, loves to be outside, could care less about being dirty, is loud, and hilarious :)
- He is obedient, most of the time :) He is great about staying close by when we are in a parking lot, by the car, or out in public.
- Eating out is a bit more difficult with him right now. He refuses to sit in high chairs, but climbs in and out of regular chairs the entire meal. It works best when we get a booth and trap him in!
- He loves soap...whether it's washing his hands in the sink. or bathing in the tub...he wants to take an active role in it all. "More soap peease"
- Does great drinking out of a regular cup. We still use sippy cups most of the time, but just because he can take them around the house without spilling them.
- Still uses his paci when in bed, but has gotten pretty good about not having it during the day. He never has it in public, but sometimes it saves my sanity in the car. Sometimes I can only take one screaming baby at a time :)
- Has to have about 15 things in bed with him for every nap and bed time.
- Is showing small signs of potty-training readiness...but we definitely aren't there yet. He will say "I go potty" before bath time, but he will sit up there for 2 seconds, say "all done" then flush. I think he mainly just wants to flush it..and thinks he has to sit on the potty in order to flush. We will go down this road soon...but not yet...
- This boy can throw a tantrum like none other :) I will say it is much better than last month, thankfully, but we are still working on this.
- He is getting better with sharing...again, still a work in progress, but much better!

Kendrick Family Reunion...
Every year my mom's side of the family gets together for a family reunion over the 4th of July. Most of this side of the family lives in south Alabama...Robertsdale, to be exact, so we meet at my great-uncle's house on Wolf Bay in Orange Beach. I look forward to this week every year...not only because it's a week at the beach, but because I get the chance to catch up with family and continue a tradition that was started 56 years ago! For several years I was unable to attend because I was working for either World Changers or Student Life...so now that I have my summers back we can finally attend each year!
This year's trip was so much fun. My family (all 10 of us) stayed in a condo together which turned out to be surprisingly fun and not near as stressful as we all imagined it would be :) The first night was rough...real rough...Watson and Hampton decided that at 1am they were ready to start the day... But after buying something to hang over the windows and block out all light, they slept like champs every night :)

Abby and Watson headed to the beach. Watson was not a fan of the sand...AT ALL. This really surprised us because last year he LOVED it! Maybe it's just a phase?! We are headed back to the beach in September so hopefully he will like it then...
Watson and Uncle Mike
Andrew and Hampton
It unfortunately rained a good bit this year, so we were all crowded inside the house. Made for good bonding time, I guess :)
There is never a shortage of delicious food when we all get together!
My family. Unforunately, Graham had to leave early to head to Daytona for work, but we were thankful he was able to be there for at least a couple of days!
The Hand/Hood family (Aunt Frances, in the front, is my grandmother's sister. It is always comforting to be around her because I feel just like I'm with my own Grandmother who I miss so much always, but especially during this week each year)
The two sets of Kendrick families...
Can't wait to see everyone again next year!
