June...

June in pictures...

Can you tell I just got my computer out for the first time in forever?  Hence all the posts I've been doing lately!

Watson got a hold of our electric hedge trimmer... Praise God he did not do more damage to his leg than he did!!

Rock Star!

A painting I did for Emma's room...I am trying to put a more personal touch on our house by doing some of the art in it.  It's a slow process though!

We had VBS this week.  I taught one of our second grade classes and really enjoyed it.  I came to know the Lord when I was 9 years old at VBS.  It was humbling to now find myself teaching 9 year olds and praying that the Lord would reveal Himself to them...many of them for the first time.

Baron's game fun - we love the new Regions Field!

I got to spend a much needed two hours with these sweet friends.  Thankful for the friendships we have kept since college.  In just our short amount of time together we were able to laugh, cry, and celebrate this sweet new life!

Watson has been sneaking in to our bed at night lately... this is how I find him most mornings...

My best friend, Briana, and her sweet girl Ella Rae came in town to visit this month!  We had SO much fun with them!  It is such a joy to journey through motherhood with your best friend!

These two... Rehearsal dinner slideshow material right here...

13-14 Months...

In an effort to catch up, I am combining these two monthly posts.  Some things I want to note about our sweet girl at this time...

-We officially weaned nursing at 13 months.  I had planned on keeping the bedtime session for a few more months, but Emma pretty much weaned herself.  I had to be out a few nights in a row and I wasn't producing enough to pump a full feeding, so it just kind of naturally happened.  I miss it...I really do, but at the same time there is a sense of freedom that comes with it too!
-Cruising around our coffee table (14 months)
-Loves to eat - like really, really loves it :)  Her favorite foods are blueberries, strawberries, sweet potatoes, anything bread or baked, bananas, green beans
-Crawls as fast as lightening
-Will only drink water
-Says "mama", "dada", "Thank You", "more", "bye bye", "night night" and babbles in conversation all day long
-Loves music
-Watches Watson very closely and tries to do everything he does
-So easy to put down at night, thankfully!  She is so ready for bed each night that she is pointing to her bed the whole time we are getting her ready.  We still force some snuggles...even it if it just holding her for a minute before bedtime :)
-Takes two naps a day - sometimes misses the morning nap, though
-Had her first double ear infection with fever while we were at the beach.  It was so sad, but thankfully cleared up quickly with antibiotics.

Some pictures from 13 months:

These two spend most of the day on these cars!  Emma has finally figured out how to get on and off by herself so she loves it!

With our best little friend and birthday buddy, Olivia

These two...couldn't love them more!

Emma LOVES water...pools, bathtubs, splash pads, anything with water and she's a fan!

Feeding yourself yogurt is fun...and messy :)

Pictures from 14 months...

Fun at the Baron's Game!

Steel City Pops at Railroad Park!

"Cheeeeeeese!"

Can you tell that this sweet girl's 14 month of life was full of packing and moving?  I really slacked on the picture taking... Next month I'll be back in the swing of things!

May...

May was such an exciting month!

We celebrated Emma's first birthday...

...and we bought a house!!!  After months and months of looking, we found the perfect house for our family.  We are thrilled!  I will do a whole post on the house with pics, but here is a picture of our family right after closing...

Leigh came to visit!  I am so thankful for the friendship that we share...even from miles and miles away, she will always be one of my nearest and dearest!

I think Watson is in love...
Lots and lots of packing occurred this month..which meant lots of time for the kids to entertain themselves and relax :)

We did get out and about, though.  Play dates at the park, friends' houses, the splash pad and the pool kept us plenty busy!

Graham and I had a date night to see Mama Mia...it was amazing!

Family nights out...

Watson's class at school celebrated his birthday in May, although it is actually in July :)  They had the sweetest little party for him!

Grandpa and Janza came in town for Emma's birthday weekend!  We love all the time we can get with them!

This sweet girl had a dance recital...

And this...this is my heart's cry each and every day...
