12 months...

Our baby girl is ONE!  I can't believe it!  This first year of her life has flown by...seriously.  I felt like Watson's first year went by much more slowly than Emma's...I guess that's what happens when you have a toddler in the house with a newborn!  I recognized this was happening throughout the year, though, so Graham and I truly tried our hardest to soak up every second of this sweet first year.

Weight: 21 lbs
Height: 30 in.
Size diaper: size 3
Size clothes: 9 months, 12 months
Sleeping: 12 hours at night, with 2 naps a day.  Both naps are anywhere from 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours.
Eating: Nursing four times a day, though I feel she is beginning to wean herself from one of those feedings (the late afternoon one).  Loves table food - really anything and everything I give her she will eat..and eat..and eat!

Emma is not walking by herself yet, but she has begun walking behind toys.  She is shaky, but determined!

Sweet girl loves to clap - anytime music comes on, or we say "Yay!" she will start clapping.  She always has the biggest grin when she does this :)

She is also waving a lot these days - anytime she hears someone say "Hi!" or "Bye bye!"she starts waving with such excitement!

This smile will melt your heart :)

Though her full name is Emma Carolyn, we almost always call her "Emma Lou" :)  Not sure where it came from, but it sure did stick!

Emma loves playing with toys - she is great at entertaining herself and can just sit and play with toys for an extended period of time.  This is a wonderful quality of this little girl!

She is trying to climb anything and everything.  She can't quite hike that leg over every time, but she sure does try!

To say that this angel has a loud cry would be the understatement of the century.  I'm pretty sure if you are anywhere in the Birmingham vicinity, you have heard her cry!

We could not have asked for a better first year with our baby girl.  She is such a treasure to me, Graham, and Watson.  She is loved more than she will ever know!  We pray, daily, that she is growing into a woman of God who will surrender her life to Him at a young age and devote all her days to the Lord.  We love you so much, Emma Lou!
