Twelve months...

How are we already at 12 MONTHS?!  This year has flown by - I cannot believe my baby boy is ONE YEAR OLD!!!  Mason, you have surprised us since the moment we found out about you :) Words do not express the amount of joy that you bring to our family and how thankful to God we are for your life! 

Height: 30.5" (50%)
Weight: 23 lbs 15 oz (80%)
Size Clothes: 18 months
Eating: Clearly, you are eating well :)  You still love to nurse, especially at night time, but we are slowly weaning you during the day.  So far you have handled it just fine!  You are mainly eating table foods now, with the occasional baby food pouch. 
Sleeping: You are a dream sleeper these days!  You are very easy to put to bed as you get in your sleep sack and immediately put your head on our shoulder :)  You fall asleep quickly when we rock you and you transfer smoothly to your crib.  You sleep anywhere from 10-12 hours at night, and you are taking 1 good nap a day, sometimes 2 shorter naps.  I am SO THANKFUL that you have seemed to officially turn the corner in your sleeping! 

You love your brother and sister.  You watch everything they do and laugh constantly at them.  You want to be right up in the mix with them, and you typically are!

Your smile can brighten any day.

You "talk" all.day.long :)

You are still trying to figure Gus out. We kept him for a few days this month and you ended up LOVING him, but it took a while to get there :)

You clearly have a big sister!  You always have something pink in your hand or are holding a makeup brush, pretend makeup, etc.  You know no different right now and are perfectly content with it!  I have a feeling that will change here soon!

 You love being outside.  Anytime you are upset I can hold you and walk outside and it is almost an immediate change in your attitude.  You would spend all day, every day, outside if you could.

Anything involving water is a win for you!  You splash, laugh and play until your little heart is content!

You have taken after your brother and sister (and pretty much every baby ever) in your love for swings! 

Being dirty does not bother you one bit.  You are quite opposite from your brother and sister in this way!

You are very expressive and I love that about you!  We are always laughing at your reactions to things - your face says it all every time!

Eleven months...

Sleeping: We are having more nights that you are sleeping through the night!  Let's keep that up sweet boy!

Eating:  Still loves food and loves to nurse. You are, however, nursing less than you used to.  I feel like you may be working your way towards weaning. You prefer table food over baby food - you really want to feed yourself and are working hard on using a spoon by yourself!

Diapers: size 4

Clothes: 18 months

 We spend as much time outside as we can - you love it!

We went to the park while in Oklahoma this month and even though it was FREEZING, you had a great time.  You loved having Watson push you in the swing.

You did all of this with a cereal bar.  Impressive, buddy.

I am quickly learning that you are into EVERYTHING!  I went back to my bedroom, came back out to the den, and found this...

You officially hate your car seat - really hoping that is just a short phase we are going through!!

We went to the mountains in NC for a few days this month and you were such a trooper on our hikes!  You stayed happy in this carrier and even slept in it while on Daddy's back! 

You love your Mommy so much and I love you so much :)  You cry when I leave the room or if you look around and realize that I am not in your sight.

Ten months...

Mason Graham Hill, you are LOVED! 



Eating: LOVES food!  And of course, loves to nurse!  

Sleeping: Takes 1, sometimes 2, naps a day.  Nurses himself to sleep for naps and bedtime.  Wakes once a night to nurse and then goes back down quickly.

Diapers: size 4

Clothes: Size 12-18 months

You absolutely love to be outside - if you are fussy I can always count on a walk outside to cheer you right up!  (Well, that and a snack...or nursing... :) )

You scared us this month, buddy!  We are still not sure exactly what was happening, but we do know that you had a high fever and you were extremely lethargic.  Thankfully it only lasted a couple of days and then you were back to your happy self, but it sure scared me!

When you have an older sister and an older girl cousin, you are bound to end up in some girl toys!  Clearly, you do not care :) 

I have been subbing a lot at Watson and Emma's preschool, so this means you have been going to school a lot as well!  You do really well for the most part, but you are VERY attached to Mommy right now so the transition from Mommy to Teacher is always...well...loud :) 

We have laughed SO much at this picture :)  I put another little boy's shoe on Mason's foot and his sweet chubby legs just could not fit.  I mean look at those rolls...is there anything sweeter?! 

You, my dear, are HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!  The only time that almost always guarantees tears is handing you off to someone else or when you first get in your car seat.

You are starting to pull up and stand - I caught you in the process of doing this on the monitor so we quickly lowered your crib mattress that same day.  You are also doing a mixture of an army crawl and a regular crawl - either way, you get to where you are going quickly! 

Nine months...

It has been another good month with our sweet boy!

Weight: 21 lbs (75%)
Height: 29.5" (90%)
Size diaper: size 4
Size clothes: 12-18 months
Sleeping:  Still wakes once a night, but goes down quickly after nursing.  Naps 1-2 times a day and sleeps around 12 hours a night (with that one interruption!)
Eating:  Loves all baby food, nursing and table foods.  We have tried bananas, eggs, avocado, sweet potato, green beans...all sorts of foods and he has loved them all!

Such a smiley baby always!!

Bath time is always a blast!  Nothing better than the smell of a clean baby :)

Table foods are going well!

Mason you have been a tummy sleeper from the day you were born!  You also sleep great in your car seat (thankfully!)  It is so sweet the way you sing yourself to sleep in the car...I will never forget that!

Those bottom teeth are fully in and his two top teeth are on their way in this month!
